First Sabbath in the Holy City

Well, I hope you're gearing up for a great Sunday, we just had our Sabbath day, which was Saturday, and it was great.  We had church here at the Jerusalem Center, and it was awesome, we even got to sing some prelude with our new huge choir, and it was great.  It was just such a cool experience to sing hymns about the Savior in Jerusalem.  We got to rest, and break our fast, and then got to go and visit the Old City, where we went to visit the Church of the Holy Sepluchre.  If you want to learn more about it visit here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_of_the_holy_sepulchre

It is supposedly the sight of the crucifixion of Christ, the preparing of his body, and his subsequent burial.  It is co-owned by 6 different churches, and we got to witness vespers and songs done by some monks there, and I got some pretty cool video of it too!  We didn't get to spend a lot of time there, because we had to get back before dark, but it was awesome, just to walk around the old city, and enjoy the sights and sounds of old Jerusalem.  Here is a picture of the church we visited...

James, reading this makes me sooooooo homesick for Jerusalem!! I hope you're having the best time :) If you get a chance, go and watch some gregorian chanting in the Holy Sepulchre sometime! Yes, it may be after dark, but it is seriously awesome :)
